This year’s edition will debut the world’s first electric hydrofoil test drive and an expanded luxury on-water trial zone at Sanctuary Cove Marina’s J Dock, featuring 25 new berths for high-net-worth buyers to experience cutting-edge vessels. The showstopper is the Swedish-made Candela C-8, a 100% electric hydrofoil vessel equipped with a Polestar 2-sourced 69kWh battery, offering the longest range (57 nautical miles) and whisper-quiet gliding technology among production electric boats.

SCIBS 2025 will gather marine giants like AMC, Princess Yachts, and Suzuki, showcasing over 350 vessels and 2,500+ marine innovations. Last year’s event contributed AUD 400 million to Queensland’s economy, including AUD 380 million in direct sales.
