Our Case Studies

Our underwater thrusters suit diverse underwater operation scenarios.

Nemo submersibles

Dutch submersible manufacturer U-Boat Worx has launched the Nemo, claimed to be the lightest manned submersible ever built.

  • This submersible is fitted with underwater thrusters that enable it to travel 3,000 meters underwater.
  • Top speed: 3.45 mph, with a maximum diving depth of over 100 meters (330 feet).
  • The pilot and passengers can enjoy up to 8 hours of autonomous operation time.

The Nemo submersible can be transported to the seaside for diving by car trailer, or loaded onto yachts to enjoy underwater adventures at sea.

Wukong Full-Ocean-Depth AUV

The Wukong Full-Ocean-Depth AUV is an untethered underwater vehicle independently developed by Harbin Engineering University, China.

  • Wukong FOD-AUV: Length 2 m, Width 1 m, Weight 1.3 t
  • Equipped with passive buoyancy system, it consumes little energy while diving and surfacing.
  • It can perform autonomous tasks at 11,000 meters underwater.

The Wukong vehicle dived to a depth of 10,896 meters in the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench. It set a new world record for the maximum diving depth of untethered underwater vehicles.

Xinghai 1000 Polar AUV

Developed through four years of joint efforts by multiple organizations including Harbin Engineering University, the Polar Research Institute of China, the 702nd Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Tianjin University, Taiyuan University of Technology and Haoye Technology, the Xinghai 1000 is a polar exploration unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV).

  • It has a length of more than 3 meters and a height of nearly 2 meters.
  • Its on-board underwater thrusters are designed to operate reliably in low-temperature environments.
  • Silent underwater thrusters enable the submersible to gather seabed information with minimal disturbance.

It joined the 13th Chinese Arctic Expedition on board icebreaker Xuelong 2 and accomplished China's first observation of Arctic sea ice under-ice features.

Atmospheric Diving Suit (ADS)

Atmospheric Diving Suit (ADS)

The Atmospheric Diving Suit (ADS) is a hard-shell manned diving system that maintains a constant 1-atmosphere internal pressure, allowing divers to work directly at depths of hundreds of meters without decompression stops.

  • Underwater thruster with high-pressure and corrosion resistance
  • Underwater thruster for low-noise operation
  • Underwater thruster with precise thrust control

Its sealed articulated joints ensure flexibility, while integrated underwater thrusters enhance maneuverability, making it ideal for deep-sea rescue, offshore engineering, and polar scientific research.

Rover Submersible

The new deep-sea base-station ROV system — the Rover submersible, carried by the Luling multi-point lander, successfully completed its 3,000-meter-class acceptance sea trial.

  • The underwater thrusters mounted on this equipment can perform missions smoothly at a depth of 3,000 meters on the seabed.
  • This equipment is equipped with 4 underwater thrusters.
  • This underwater thruster can assist in verifying the functional and technical specifications under dual modes of motion radius, hovering, and crawling.

It achieved autonomous docking guided by a compact sonar system, successfully deployed and recovered markers using a self-developed compact 5-function modular manipulator, and completed deep-sea biological sampling.
