Why are the propellers of underwater thrusters classified as CW and CCW?

Viewed from the propeller nozzle toward the thruster motor, a counterclockwise (CCW) rotation generates forward thrust, while a clockwise (CW) rotation also produces forward thrust in the same manner.

The primary difference between left-handed and right-handed propellers lies in counteracting rolling torque. If all thrusters on an underwater vehicle rotate in the same direction, the rolling torque will remain uncompensated, causing the vehicle to easily spin in that direction.

CCW and CW propellers are symmetrical in design, which enables the mutual offset of rolling torque.
