The high-speed deep-sea submersible based on lift principle – the Lifting-Type High-Speed AUV, developed under the leadership of the Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has successfully completed its sea acceptance trial.
During the sea trial, the Lifting-Type High-Speed AUV verified its functions and performance indicators, including maximum operating depth, maximum cruising speed, maximum diving and surfacing speed, wide-speed-range navigation control, and navigation control under large positive buoyancy and heavy load conditions.Featuring high speed, large payload capacity, and strong environmental adaptability, the Lifting-Type High-Speed AUV has broad application prospects in future marine emergency search and rescue as well as scientific expeditions.
The development of the Lifting-Type High-Speed AUV was supported by the National Key R&D Program of China during the 13th Five-Year Plan Period under the key special project “Key Technologies and Equipment for Deep Sea”.Led by the Shenyang Institute of Automation, it was jointly developed by the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Harbin Engineering University, and other technologically competitive institutions.
